Real Freedom

More people than ever are quietly sliding into chaos and destruction today. God has everything you need to set them free! He desperately needs you to draw in the wounded and lead them to freedom. It’s not just the job of a few. It’s the whole purpose of Jesus’ Body to rescue those who have lost their way and help them be reconciled to their real Father.

God wants us all to go deeper with him. I have many Christian friends whom God has set free. Yet every one of them has problems that don’t get better. Many have given up on God or become complacent about their sin.

God wants us to go deeper - to lay aside the pat answers, to drop the facade. Why? Because he wants a deeper relationship. Jesus prayed that we would be one!

  When you take your car to be repaired, you don’t just want a diagnosis. You count on the mechanics to to fix it. Likewise, we don’t just hope and pray broken hearts will be healed someday. We know how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to set people free. That changes everything!

Impossible

Serving God isn’t hard, it’s impossible.

1. It is humanly impossible. It is a supernatural assignment that will never be successful without supernatural power.
2. It is impossible to cast your pearls before people who are highly defensive and not get torn up. Matthew 7:6
3. Educating or rousing people to action is insufficient to transform lives. Jesus came to set captives free and heal the broken hearted. Isaiah 61

A New Vision

Jesus said the kingdom of heaven belongs to the poor in spirit. Healing begins with you. When you start thinking, “I’m OK. This is for the people with real problems,” the Kingdom is slipping away.

Jesus said those who have been forgiven little love little.Luke 7:47 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Jeremiah 17:9 When the Holy Spirit reveals sins we didn’t know we had, we repent and gratitude grows!

You can start developing a core group of members who catch the vision of continuous growth. Is it the people with the most need? No. It is those who have the most desire! As they lay down their defensiveness and embrace excellence, they spread good leaven through the whole congregation.
